Performing

FMS is proud to produce a Broadway Jr. musical each year.  Past performances include Into the Woods, Jr. and Pirates of Penzance, Jr.  All fourth through eighth graders are welcome to participate.  Auditions are held in the fall, requiring students to sing, dance and recite required selections.  Rehersals start in January and continue into April. 

Students gain confidence in their acting and singing skills, and learn to work as a team with fellow cast members.  Tech crew is also another option for students and includes publicity, ushering, running sound and lights, scene changes, and being in charge of props.  A minimum of two daytime performances and two evening performances are given, allowing the entire school the opportunity to watch it.  It has become a highlight event at FMS.
