Leanne Jorgensen- Head of School

Leanne founded FMS in her home as a primary program over 16 years ago.  She holds a MA in education, a BA in English literature, and is Montessori certified.  Leanne has over 20 years of teaching experience and is excited to see the school grow to what it is today.

Karen Kolb- Adminstrator

Karen is from Reading, PA.  She has been with FMS for over 11 years.  Karen holds a BA in accounting and a MBA in management. 

Mary Zigman- Curriculum Director

Mary has a BA in anthropology and completed her postgraduate studies in education at the University of Pennsylvania. She is currently finishing a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership.  Mary has worked in applying Montessori philosophy in a wide range of school settings over the past fifteen years.  She studied Montessori in Sarasota, FL with Dr. Paul Czaja through Montessori Live. She aligned the Montessori scope and sequence from kindergarten through 8th grade with state and national standards as part of a Montessori records keeping system for private and public schools.  Mary is also a certified teacher for the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

Kim Gallagher- Events Coordinator/Human Resources 

Kim is a part of our FMS founding families.  She began as our PTO President, a title she held for three years.  Kim is originally from Maine and attended college at Georgia Southern University and the University of North Florida.

Angela Drew- Marketing

Angela has a BA from the Corcoran School of Art.  This is her 8th year at Foothills Montessori School.  She has over 12 years experience in education developing public art programs and educational materials.

Lora Milne- Receptionist

Lora is originally from Utah, but has lived here for 23 years.  She attended BYU Hawaii and Weber State College.  She worked for an engineering firm before coming to FMS.

Katie Weddell- Receptionist

This is Katie's 7th year working at FMS.  She has served as PTO Vice President and Treasurer.  She is a registered nurse with over 10 years experience at Sunrise Children's Hospital before coming to FMS.  She holds a BS in nursing.
