The Montessori Method
 The
Montessori method is the fastest growing education system
in the world. It was originally developed by Dr. Maria Montessori,
the first woman doctor in Italy who made great progress in
the fields of psychiatry and pediatrics and was nominated
for the Nobel Prize. Maria believed that every child has an
innate curiosity and love for learning which takes them on
a “journey of discovery” in the classroom. Each
child is permitted to pursue what interests them in a supportive
and caring environment. This freedom develops their independence
and confidence, which fosters not only academic development
but emotional and spiritual as well. A Montessori education
produces children who are self-sufficient, environmentally-conscious,
spiritually balanced, globally aware, and respectful of self
and others.
